Presentation: Sveinn à Felli - new Icelandic translatorHi,
My name is Sveinn í Felli - alias "sveinki" from a town called Akureyri in the northern part of Iceland. For some time now I've translated KDE, GNOME, translationproject stuff and recently we started an Openoffice project for Icelandic. I've been working with some schools and institutions which are in the process of going open-source. I often recommend Mandriva for users with long-term Windows exposure. As an occational Mandriva user - I have to confess that I do a lot of distro-hopping - since I'm very much into translation coordination in my language, and have to check/synchronise terminology in lots of distibutions/projects. These days OpenOffice translation takes most of my time, but I managed to squeeze in some Mandriva strings. I would appreciate if somebody could submit for me the relevant .po's to the icelandic repo, or else guide me through the process. I've got 23 files to submit, of those 15 are fully translated. Where/to whom should I send these? The Icelandic Mandriva translation coordinator, Pjetur G. Hjaltason <pjetur@...>, has not replied my requests for a very long time, and I haven't found out his other e-mails. Later I may ask for SVN-access, but if someone can submit for me, it's largely sufficient for now. Best regards, Sveinn í Felli GO8T9T-748629-1J |

No private email seen from you - honest!! Might be my junk mail filtering to aggressive?? - Will check! I have no other public email address (do not like persons hiding behind pseudo names and addresses - so I do not!) > Later I may ask for SVN-access, but if someone can submit > for me, it's largely sufficient for now. I will gladly update and post your files... AND I am glad to see someone else taking interest in Mandriva Icelandic translation - welcome aboard!!! Best regards, Pjetur |

I think you should also vouch for him so he get a subversion account as soon as possible. Best regards Olav Dahlum |
