Pretty - Prevalent Jetty:)
Combined with some good web framework, Pretty is set out to be one of the most productive and >by far< the fastest web app development stack, suitable for 90% of all web sites out there. See attached diagrams. I am talking to the guys at Jetty to help me make this work. What do you guys think? I think it would be a very elegant solution. And it looks like implementation complexity it not too high. So if you need an encouragement from a passer-by then YES, DO IT (: However: * To be usable all HTTP operations should be considered (at least PUT, DELETE) * This restricts what can be done in web-app (think of side-effects or operations atomicity) so application should be specially crafted for prevayler and thus the solution is not completely transparent. * many servlet containers can replicate or migrate sessions in a cluster. Need to somehow deal with it (at least ensure configuration disallows it) -- Petr Gladkikh ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
