Problem installation Solfege-3.15 on a Ubuntu 9.04 : incompatible architectureHello all,
I experienced a problem installation Solfege-3.15 on a Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty Jackalope" : # bash solfege-3.15.2.x86.package Sorry, this package is incompatible with your CPU architecture. It needs , you have i686. Try checking where you got this package to see if there is a compatible version. If not, try asking the software maintainer if they would be willing to produce a package for your architecture, or alternatively you may be able to compile from source. I have the same problem with solfege-3.14.7, but it's ALMOST ok with 3.12.1 : # bash solfege-3.12.1.x86.package Preparing package: GNU Solfege 3.12.1 .... # Installing data files... /usr/share/autopackage/apkg-ttyfe: line 421: echo: write error: Broken pipe /usr/share/autopackage/apkg-ttyfe: line 421: echo: write error: Broken pipe /usr/share/autopackage/apkg-ttyfe: line 421: echo: write error: Broken pipe /usr/share/autopackage/apkg-ttyfe: line 421: echo: write error: Broken pipe ... Does someone can help me or point me in the good direction ? Thank you, Vincent ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! Re: Problem installation Solfege-3.15 on a Ubuntu 9.04 : incompatible architectureI tired it now at home. I could install Solfege 3.12.1 with command: sudo linux32 package install ./solfege-3.12.1.x86.package but sudo linux32 package install ./solfege-3.14.7.x86.package gave the same error: Sorry, this package is incompatible with your CPU architecture. then I found out the package version was too old (1.2 something), I unistalled autopackage: And then sudo linux32 ./solfege-3.14.7.x86.package tarmo t On Friday 18 September 2009 12:02:54 Vincent Schultz wrote: > Hi ! > > Does anyone know how to install Solfege on a ubuntu 9.04 ? Re: Problem installation Solfege-3.15 on a Ubuntu 9.04 : incompatible architectureHi,
No no, I have a 32bit architecture (Intel Core 2 Duo T7250) and the .deb for ubuntu 9.04, is a bit old (3.11). The thing I do not understand is that I can install 3.12.1 version but not the newest 3.14, 3.15. The pb comes with the solfege package doesn't it ? Any idea ? Anyone has a Ubuntu 9.04 with solfege 3.14 ????
