Problems in Chaotic, in my opinion
Sorry for the giant text but for those of you too lazy to read there is a short summary at the bottom.
I just played a match with a friend using the cut out cards and we both agree that the game is a little unbalanced. When my opponent used Magmon with the Vile Driver none of my guys could beat him. I assumed that at the end of battle life heals all the way back to max so because of this I couldn't stop him. I used many tactics such as lowering his stats but nothing I did could allow me to win the match. The closest I got to winning was bringing Magmon down to 10 energy, but since life goes back to max at the end of a fight all the Mugic I used to bring him so low was wasted. This got me thinking, if Magmon can do this much damage, what could Maxxor do. Maxxor has good high and balanced stats and the elements of Fire and Earth and 3 Mugic and an incredible 70 energy with the ability to heal himself. Before you tell me it's possible to beat him, I agree, but only with someone like Chaor. If say Laarina or Rellim fought him, who do you think would win?
Another thing I noticed is that creatures like Frafdo who have no elements have no chance a creature similar but with elements. For the longest time my Frafdo was using attacks that do 5 dmg and attacks that do nothing because of elemental requirements.
As I've seen a question like this a while ago, some people are most going to respond the same way such as lower their stats and what not but creatures like Frafdo can't (currently) lower stats because they all require elements. And something like using Song of Focus to boost your own stats, your opponent just uses Song of Treachery in response.
My solutions to this, although some of you may not like it, would be to give every single creature at least one element and to leave the Energy after battle as is. Truthfully, does anyone think that a Frafdo and a Hearring 2 on 1 could beat a Maxxor. Frafdo takes Maxxor down to 20 with Song of Embernova (Mugician's Lyre) and a Canon of Casualty (Hearring) and a lot of other attacks but Maxxor is just too much. Hearring vs Maxxor, if Maxxor was still at 20 life Hearring would have a definate chance at winning but nope, Maxxor is now at 70 Energy and Hearring dies because he can't even use elemental attack and there is nothing but elemental attacks in the player's hand because of other creatures he had.
Summary: Every creature should have at least one element and energy shold stay the same after each match.
