Problems with OS X Snow LeopardHi,
I encounter some problems when running handler_test on OS X 10.6.1 with a Gemplus reader. This is the output I get: tests-computer:Host test$ sudo ./handler_test -l /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/drivers/ifd-ccid.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libccid.dylib -A -1 -d usb:08e6/3437 Using driver: /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/drivers/ifd-ccid.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libccid.dylib Use APDU test case: 1 Using device: usb:08e6/3437 Using driver: /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/drivers/ifd-ccid.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libccid.dylib Using channel: 0 Using device_name: usb:08e6/3437 handler_test.c:264 /SourceCache/SmartcardCCID/SmartcardCCID-35253/ccid/ccid/src/ifdhandler.c:1323:init_driver() Driver version: 1.3.8 /SourceCache/SmartcardCCID/SmartcardCCID-35253/ccid/ccid/src/ifdhandler.c:99:IFDHCreateChannelByName() failed IFDHCreateChannelByName: 612 Are you sure a CCID reader is connected? and that you have read/write permission on the device? tests-computer:Host test$ Here is a link to the debug output from pcscd: http://kornet1.se/pcscd.log. I have noticed that the system starts a new pcscd process whenever I connect the reader, and it will interfere with my debug pcscd. Is it possible to prevent the system from starting pcscd? The log above is captured when I start pcscd with the reader already connected. tests-computer:~ test$ sudo /usr/sbin/pcscd --version Password: PCSC Framework version 1.4.0. After you're done, rename it back to pcscd -- Martin Paljak http://martin.paljak.pri.ee +372.515.6495 _______________________________________________ Muscle mailing list Muscle@... http://lists.drizzle.com/mailman/listinfo/muscle |

Re: Problems with OS X Snow LeopardI am trying to learn smard card development on OS X. I selected the
tests because I am familiar with them from Linux and right now it is the only PCSC software that I have successfully built on OS X. To me it looks like pscsd tries to connect the Gemplus, but after a number of attempts it gives up. I am trying to compile MacAPDU and CocoaCard from muscleapps svn as well, but right now I have lots of build errors to sort out. I hope it is just missing header files. I figured if I can get the handler tests to work, I have a good baseline for further experimentation.
