Problems with data source

Hello folks,

it is the first time, I am using Eclipse BIRT. Unfortunely I have no access to the producttion database. So I am searching a way to store the connection information in a simple properties file so that the database access can easily be changed from development to production.

Is there someone who can tell me how to realize this?
