Problems with the Applications menu

Hi

I have a problem with my main menu (Application menu). I tried to edit the menu and somehow I've lost everything in there. Now my menu doesn't contain anything. Is there a method to rebuild the menu automaticly?

Anyway the menu editor sucks big time. It has a lot of bugs. I think I will submit them today if I find the place where to.

Regards,
Cristian

Are you running Xubuntu? If so, just upgrade your packages; these bugs
have been fixed.

I guess you're running Xubuntu... i _really_ begin to get tired of these
reports where people bitch about the menueditor in Xubuntu (i don't say
it's perfect either).

The Xubuntu guys chose to use SVN version, now it's to them to provide
some kind of support. I'm fed up with answering again and again the same
thing for a bug fixed a while ago (a one line patch FYI).

So Xubuntu guys (Jani ?) please add some kind of note in a visible place
and not lost in a wiki.

The place to fill bugs is bugs.xfce.org BTW.

Cheers

Actually, for people running Xubuntu, please file bugs at:

https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bugs

The Xubuntu team will forward bugs along to us that actually have to do
with our releases, and not theirs.

Heh. I wouldn't have replied so politely -- even if the bugs had really
been mine.

Note to OP:

Blanket comments of this nature are not very helpful. Either file bug
reports or keep quiet. This is not the way to show your appreciation for
work done for you at no cost by volunteers sacrificing their spare time.
In short: your attitude "sucks big time".

Yes I'm running Xubuntu. Sorry about that, but you have to understand
that when I see that a program that it supposed to
do something, does nothing and breaks my actual config rather than
extending it, I get very upset especially
that I don't want to use anything besides XFCE and the menu is an
important part of the window manager.

Thank you for everything! Promise to be a more supportive user from now on.
