Programming with GPGME and GPGAppKit on OS X

Hi folks,

I just downloaded the framework, made a build and tried to run the
first test application. I ran into an compilation error I cannot solve:

The class or enum 'GPGRecipients' cannot be resolved. I attached a
screenshot, so you can see the error message.

I thank you in advance for help!

Best regards form Germany, Marco

Marco,

AFAIK, GPGAppKit hasn't been updated since years, and is probably no
longer compatible with GPGME.

You'd better avoid using it, and use only GPGME which is working fine.

Regards,

Stéphane

Okay, thanks for your reply... I will do this.

I got another problem: I want to use the documentation generator but
cannot find a working download for the program "AutoDoc". Can some
provide me the parsed documentation for version 1.0.2?

Regards,

Marco

It's been a long time since Autodoc has been replaced by HeaderDoc.
Where is AutoDoc mentioned?? I hope you did a svn checkout of GPGME
sources to get the latest version.

I was also using a custom version of HeaderDoc, and haven't tried
using the latest version; you'd better forget about it for the moment...

No I haven't checked it out via SVN. I downloaded version v.1.0.2 from
this website: http://macgpg.sourceforge.net/

Can u tell me URL to the svn repository where I can check out GPGME.
As far as I see I can only check out "macgpg2", can't I?

I think I have found documentation via the web at this site: http://macgpg.sourceforge.net/docs/GPGME-documentation/IntroGPGME.html

I'm curious because it says that it belongs to version 1.1. and I only
got 1.0.2...

Thanks for your help!

Marco

Thanks again for the information. Now I got a new problem:

I cannot build libgettext on Mac OS 10.5.6. I downloaded gettext-0.17
from the GNU ftp server and get the following build error:

Undefined symbols:
   "_iconv_close", referenced from:
       _xmlCharEncCloseFunc in libgettextlib.a(libxml_rpl_la-encoding.o)
       _xmlCharEncCloseFunc in libgettextlib.a(libxml_rpl_la-encoding.o)
       _xmlFindCharEncodingHandler in libgettextlib.a(libxml_rpl_la-

       _xmlFindCharEncodingHandler in libgettextlib.a(libxml_rpl_la-

make[3]: *** [msgmerge] Error 1

I don't know if this causes the build error on gpgme but the make of
gpgme fails with this:

(cd .libs/libgpgme.lax/libassuan.a && ar x /Users/marco/Desktop/
install/gpgme-1.1.8/src/../assuan/.libs/libassuan.a)
ar: /Users/marco/Desktop/install/gpgme-1.1.8/src/../assuan/.libs/
libassuan.a is a fat file (use libtool(1) or lipo(1) and ar(1) on it)
ar: /Users/marco/Desktop/install/gpgme-1.1.8/src/../assuan/.libs/
libassuan.a: Inappropriate file type or format
make[2]: *** [libgpgme.la] Error 1
make[1]: *** [install] Error 2
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I followed the included readme file in the MacGPGME package...

Do you have a suggestion?

Thanks a lot again.

Regards, Marco
