Good morning team,

I wanted to follow up on our conversation from yesterday and get status updates on the current projects we're working on.

Please let me know if I have any of these wrong or missing any.  If you could email the list back with the status, next steps and percentage complete, that would be helpful.

http://live.gnome.org/SysadminTeam/Meeting20090814

Sri / John:  Damned Lies Git Hooks

Alexandro:  Plone installation

Jeff:  Piwik installation

Sri or Alexandro: CivicCRM installation

Other to-do items:

* Install new gnome-doc-utils - done, thanks bkor (though per Bug 591584 we need intltool 0.41.0)
* Owen to schedule a Puppet tutorial
* LDAP (Jeff?) - I don't remember the details though
* Paul - admin access for blogs.gnome.org for GNOME Journal (I'm going to put together a plan and send to the list in a couple of weeks to make sure I get all the steps right)

Thanks again to Owen for adding action items to Bugzilla as well that we can tackle later.

Anything else I"m missing?

Thanks.

Paul

Installation or migration? Because otherwise it will conflict with
live.gnome.org.

Thanks? I really messed up the server (and didn't notice due to being
busy and it only failed a few hours after I tested it). :-( :-( :-(

Don't even know the exact cause, perhaps as we don't send the full
scheme to the server on purpose (not all passwords are replicated due to
security concerns).

Piwik is Web analytics software that we decided on a in a prior meeting after Jeff did an assessment:  http://piwik.org/

I'm not sure how this would conflict with MoinMoin.

FYI piwik is the only open source competitor with google analytics. It
is not a wiki even though the name leads you to believe it is.

It's been a few days - does anyone have a status update on the projects listed below they're currently working on?  (Not started, In Progress, Complete?)  Or percentage completed and when you think it may be finished?

Thanks.

Having no news about this hook, I just opened a bug report with some
basic proposal:

Yeah, I took some notes from John some weeks ago trying to figure out how to get started on this.  Thanks for opening up the bug report.  I have midterms in about 10 days, so I'll try to look at it after that if that's okay with you?

We wait for several months already, so ten days is acceptable, yes :-)

I'm actually working on the civicrm stuff. After getting a working
computer and a week long vaca it is time to get some work done. After
looking through the docs and doing some initial setup yesterday I
asked owen a few questions. First I'm setting up mock on fixed and
afterwards build the Fedora 12 drupal for RHEL5. Piwik is afterwards
but lower priority because google analytics is working right now.
Stormy seems pretty interested in getting civicrm up now.

Fixing LDAP will take some time to think about. I'm not sure of the
best way to change it just yet.

Hi all,

The webtest instance was created and is already up for some time, I'm
having problems creating the editor instance. The Caster sent a feedback
of the problem and the solution will work over the weekend.

Cheers,

I'm still working on this.  I'm trying to understand Damned Lies flow before figuring out the git stuff.  Just wanted to let people know since I had said that I would work on this after my exams.  I have about 5 days or so before things go back to being super busy. :(
