Let's get libpng-1.4.0 out before voting on this, though, because the current libpng does not support iTXt by default, and you cannot even enable it without manually editing pngconf.h. I'll publish libpng-1.4.0rc01 very shortly, maybe later on this week. Glenn ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! I personally didn't mind the long incubation period for 1.4.0. The focus on constantly improving its quality was a good thing IMO. Concerning the registation of XMP, we can vote on it now, or later, it makes no difference. We waited 5 years, waiting a few more weeks won't matter -- but we may as well do it now. We do have iTXt implemented already, just not enabled by default, and to me, that still qualifies as a valid prototype implementation. In comparison, we had sTER in libpng after it was voted. And we don't even have dSIG yet. Best regards, Cosmin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
