You can make a cpt file by hand if you'd like (e.g., Notepad). Or you
can run makecpt on any existing cpt that has the colors you like and
specify a different range and interval. Many of the online examples
that display images (e.g., ex 2, 16, 17, 18, 19, ...) creates cpt
files on the fly.
