Purpose of Paste#html egg and egg named after the app?

It looks like TG2 apps need to load (use) at least 2 eggs...

one is called Paste#html and one is named after the app itself.

What do these 2 eggs do?

The latter egg is especially mysterious.....Why would an app called
foo need to load an egg called foo?
