Hi, everyone!
Spring is coming, hope you're all hanging in there! Today we had rain instead of snow for the first time, and I am ecstatic! :)
I've now borrowed 3 Sarah Jane DVD's from my library. I love the stories, and I've loved much of the commentary, but there are a few things that are bugging me. In _Robot_, Tom Baker made suggestive comments about Elisabeth Sladen's legs. In _The Hand of Fear_, Tom Baker made suggestive comments about Elisabeth Sladen's bottom. I was very excited about my most recent acquisition, _The Pyramids of Mars_, because Tom Baker doesn't do the commentary. But then Phillip Hinchcliffe made a comment to Elisabeth Sladen about how she should have worn more plunging necklines. ARRRRRGH!!! GRRRRRR!!! Why do these men have to talk about her body? It is so degrading! She deserves better. She always makes such intelligent, analytical observations on her DVD commentary tracks, she is a joy to listen to; it's a shame that she has to put up with these obnoxious comments from the guys. Does this bother anyone else?
Okay, end of rant. Thanks for listening. I must say, of course, that I totally love _The Pyramids of Mars_. And the DVD includes this hilarious mockumentary featurette about Sutekh's acting career, post-Doctor Who. It's called "Oh Mummy," and I could not stop laughing at it!
Take care, y'all!
