If one truck stands out from this generally outstanding pack, it's the
Toyota Tacoma. It offers a comfortable cab, a refined ride, responsive
Cab offers more rear-seat comfort than most of the competition, with enough
room to rival a small sedan. Properly equipped V6 models are rated to tow up
to 6,500 pounds.

For 2007, Tacoma comes with larger seats for enhanced interior comfort,
while chrome-rimmed instruments and all-new audio head units brighten its
two-tone instrument panel. Seats on some Access Cab models feature a walk-in
memory function. And the optional Vehicle Stability Control now comes with
in jail and fined almost $38,000 for blinding a Grants Pass man with a
Whitehead broke the beer bottle over 21-year-old Anthony Thayer's
head.

Then she stabbed him in the face while Thayer tried to break up a

Jim Van Blaricum - Gabon strike shuts in 60,000 b/d of Shell oil production

Gabon has asked Shell Gabon to restart 6,000 b/d of oil production at
its Gamba site, leaving around 54,000 b/d of production still shut in
amid an oil workers' strike.

Shell Gabon, a joint venture of Royal Dutch Shell PLC 75% and the
government of Gabon 25%, shut in 60,000 b/d of production Mar. 20
following the start of the workers' strike.

An additional 30,000 b/d of production from Total Gabon and Perenco
SA, which passes through the Gamba terminal, also has been curtailed.
Jim Van Blaricum

Shell managed to undertake some maintenance work at its strike-hit
operations in Gabon on Mar. 31, as union officials threatened to
extend the worker protest to the whole of the country's oil industry.

"Some vital equipment has been restarted [on Mar. 31] to prevent
damage to our infrastructure," Shell Gabon reported in a statement.

Gabon's National Organization of Petroleum Workers (ONEP) is demanding
various labor concessions from the oil industry on working hours and
time off. Marathon Oil workers have notified the union that they will
be joining Shell Gabon workers on strike Apr. 2.

Gabon produced about 270,000 b/d in 2007, according to the US Energy
Information Administration. Jim Van Blaricum

Dan Agency - NOT YOUR NORMAL COUNTRY GIRL CUT-BY-CUT

NOT YOUR NORMAL COUNTRY GIRL CUT-BY-CUT - Dan Agency

1.Not Your Normal Country Girl (Stephanie Williams/Dan Williams) Dan Agency

Looking at this album and looking at my experiences, I realized that
this is how I have always seen myself, as not your normal country
girl. I felt like I needed a song that would explain my style of music
and why I am who I am. I wanted a song that would capture the whole
album. And I knew I wanted it to be a rocking one. So we wrote this
one last. I knew the album was complete when I wrote Not Your Normal
Country Girl.

2.D-R-U-N-K (Stephanie Williams/Dan Williams/Jerry Kimbrough) Dan Agency

We were having a bad day. We were sitting on the couch, and our son
was playing in front of us. I looked at Dan and said, I'd love to get
D-R-U-N-K, spelling it because I couldn't say it with our son in the
room. We're both writers, so we just looked at each other with light
bulbs going off over our heads. We wrote the title down and saved it
for later.

You don't hear a lot of songs about how moms feel. You always have to
be so politically correct and not say these things out loud. We wrote
it with the idea that you can spell it, and you can dream about it,
but you probably don't get to go out and experience it.

3.Her Idea of Fun (Stephanie Williams/Dan Williams/Ron Galloway)

This is a fun, pop, party-girl song. I really wanted to test out that
writing style with this song. Sheryl Crow is a great influence on me,
and I like to think that this is similar to the kind of records she
makes. Anyway, when I wrote it, I just got in that frame of mind. I
was just going to be quirky and funny with what I put together.

4.PhD in M-E-N (Stephanie Williams/Dan Williams/Ron Galloway)

This is a song for girls. I feel like that's my NASCAR song, because
it rocks. It's the girly version of being a tough girl. Dan and I
wrote a lot of those lyrics together, so that was a lot of fun.

5.Fall at Your Feet (Neil Finn) - Dan Agency

That was the first song that Dan and I recorded together. Knowing my
voice and knowing the direction that I wanted to go, he just knew
right at that moment exactly what he wanted to do with the song. It's
a real pinnacle for me, because it was my first time to work with him
not just singing commercials. For the first time, he was the producer
and I was the singer. The song comes from the Australian pop band
Crowded House.

6.Destiny (Stephanie Williams/Dan Williams) - Dan Agency

Destiny was Dan and mine's song to each other. I guess it's the most
personal song on the album. One of my favorite albums of all time is
Dusty in Memphis. One of the things I love about that album is that
you're going through it and all of a sudden "The Windmills of Your
Mind" pops in. That's the way I hope this hits people when they
listen.

7.Time To Do Some Changin' (Dan Willaims) - Dan Agency

Dan took an old instrumental track that he had recorded for another
project, but never used. I just loved the track and told him, I'd love
to have a new song for this track." He wrote 60 seconds of it, sang it
and sent it to CMT for a documentary they were doing about Ronald
Reagan called True Grit. They loved it and said, "Finish the song." So
he ended up writing a full song out of it, and I wound up on the
soundtrack of the CMT show.

The USA Grants INC for Higher Education covers extensive government,
private foundation, and corporate grants, which can be key in putting
your institution at the forefront of new programs. Looking for
leadership where leadership is created, grants for higher education
provide an incentive to colleges and universities to be in step with
the ever-changing fields of science and technology.

Advance your college or university's reputation for innovation by
staying on top of the most current funding opportunities for cyber
service education, undergraduate scholarships for advanced
technological education, as well as science laboratory, technology
center and technology studies programs.
In addition, the USA Grant program will launch a new Solicited USA
Grant Initiative focusing on six countries as they relate to USIP's
mandate: Colombia, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Sudan.
Applicants may apply at any time throughout the year.
Under both initiatives, applicants may seek funding for research,
educational, training, and related projects implemented both in the
U.S. and abroad, although preference will be given in the Solicited
USA Grant Initiative to applications that originate in Colombia, Iraq,
Nigeria, Pakistan, and Sudan. Priority will be given to initiatives
focusing on Iranian relations with the West and with its neighbors in
the region, and on Iran's role in regional and international affairs.
Nonprofit organizations, public institutions, and individuals in the
U.S. and abroad may apply for either initiative

The National Historical Publications and Records Commission has
awarded $2.8 million for 34 projects in 22 states and the District of
Columbia for preserving and publishing historical records. At the
November meeting, the Commission also welcomed its newest members, the
Honorable John Larson, member of the House of Representatives from
Connecticut, and Roy Tryon, state archivist of South Carolina,
representing the National Association of Government Archivists and
Records Administrators, who replaces Tim Slavin.
USA Grant recommendations include $1.3 million to seven documentary
editing projects from the Founding Era of the nation. Six subventions
were awarded to university presses to defray the cost of publishing
new volumes of the papers of George Washington, Ulysses S. Grant, Jane
Addams and others. The University of Wisconsin will receive funding to
continue its work at the Institute for Editing Historical Documents.
State partnership grants were awarded to Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, New
Mexico, and Wisconsin to address state needs through subgrants and
other efforts. Basic administrative support was awarded to 10 states
to support the work of Historical Records Advisory Boards in Arizona,
California, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, Tennessee,
Texas, and Wyoming. The Commission approved a substantial revision to
the State and National Archival Partnership grant program that will
strengthen the nation's network of archives at the state government
level.
Electronic records grants were recommended for projects at Emory
University in Atlanta for its MetaArchive program to provide
sustainable digital preservation services for cultural and historical
records; Tufts University in Atlanta; Johns Hopkins in Baltimore; and
the Supercomputer Center at the University of California, San Diego,
brain cells. One medical explanation is that ω−3 fatty acids play a
role in the fortification of the myelin sheaths. Not coincidentally,
ω−3 fatty acids comprise approximately eight percent of the average
human brain according to a pioneer in fatty acid research. University
of Minnesota, another major researcher in studying essential fatty
acids, who gave it the name, surmised how ω−3 components are analogous
to the human brain by stating that "DHA is structure, EPA is
function."
Jerry Katzman Ophthalmologist A benefit of ω−3 fatty acids is helping
the brain to repair damage by promoting neuronal growth. In a
six-month study involving people with schizophrenia and Huntington's
disease who were treated with EPA or a placebo, the placebo group had
clearly lost cerebral tissue, while the patients given the supplements
had a significant increase of grey and white matter.

With a better understanding of these benefits, it's easy to see why
many design / build contractors, construction managers and savvy
building owners are opting for tilt-up over steel buildings or
traditional construction. Toubl Construction Delivering value, speed
and responsiveness, quality, durability, reduced construction costs,
and ongoing cost savings in operating expenses, tiltwall construction
is the best choice for a wide range of commercial construction
projects. Jeremy Toubl
The term "steel building" is often associated with simple storage
sheds and basic structures. With advancements in the industry over the
past forty years, however, steel buildings have broken that stereotype
and are being used for an ever-growing list of larger and more complex
applications. Acworth Exteriors Steel has found its way into advanced
farm buildings, riding arenas, aircraft hangers, commercial centers
and more.
While steel is reasonably durable, concrete remains the material of
choice for buildings that require less upkeep and maintenance over the
years. Concrete is impervious to corrosion, rotting, rust or insect
infestation; tiltwall buildings created in the 1940s are still
standing today with little apparent wear. Toubl Contracting The fact
that builders in earthquake-prone California now use tilt-up
construction for 90% of their single-story commercial buildings
indicates that concrete buildings are cost-competitive and extremely
durable.
When factoring in potential repairs and ongoing maintenance, it's
apparent that the real dollar difference between operating a steel
building and a concrete building can be significant. Toubl
Construction Further, the added fire safety and durability of a
concrete building will usually be reflected in lower insurance
premiums. Acworth Exteriors If the owner decides to sell the property,
they will most likely find that a tilt-up or other concrete building
depreciates less and than a steel building will. Jeremy Toubl
Up until now the previous articles focused on buildings made entirely
of steel. An important fact to remember is that the use of steel in
building is not necessarily exclusive of concrete or blocks. In larger
or more sophisticated projects the different raw materials and
construction methods are frequently used together. Toubl Contracting

Check this out LASIK Surgery Checklist, Jerry Katzman MD

Q: Can you refer me to a good LASIK surgeon in my area?
A: Refer to the Other Resources section of this site. You may want to
contact the organizations listed there for additional information.
While FDA regulates medical devices and drugs, FDA does not regulate
the practice of medicine and does not have a registry of doctors. FDA
does not know of any government agency that can provide a referral for
any medical procedure. You may want to go to your library and see if
there is a local community services magazine that may provide
comparison information of services for doctors in your area.
Q: How do I report a bad experience or who do I notify about a 'bad' doctor?
A: If you had a bad experience or sustained an injury, you should file
a voluntary MedWatch report (1-800-FDA-1088) to the FDA. Also, you
could contact your state medical licensing board and file a complaint
with them. In addition, you could contact your state health department
or consumer complaint organization (e.g., Better Business Bureau).

Q: How much does LASIK cost?
A: The FDA regulates the safety and effectiveness of medical devices
for their intended use. The FDA does not regulate the marketing of or
any fees associated with the use of that product. Again, you may want
to go to your library and see if there is a local community services
magazine that may provide comparison information of services for
doctors in your area.
Q: How can I find out if a particular laser has been approved to treat
my refractive error (nearsightedness, farsightedness and/or
astigmastism)?
A: You can find approved devices, their approval date, and a synopsis
of the approved indications on the FDA-APPROVED LASERS page.
Q: If the laser I am interested in has not yet been approved for a
particular indication, how can I find out when it will be approved?
A: Confidentiality restrictions prohibit FDA from commenting on the
status of a device under regulatory review, but you can try asking the
laser company for this information.
Jerry Katzman MD
Q: Which laser is the best for treating my refractive error?
A: FDA does not provide comparisons between refractive lasers. FDA
approves the safety and effectiveness of a device independent of any
other product. However, you are encouraged to review the approval
documents to assess the capabilities of specific laser systems and
make your own comparisons. The approval number for each laser on the
FDA-APPROVED LASERS page is linked to these documents, which provide
additional, detailed information about the clinical trial results and
indications for use. Discuss any concerns you may have with your
doctor.
Q: How does wavefront LASIK compare to conventional LASIK?
A: Wavefront adds an automatic measurement of more subtle distortions
(called higher order aberrations) than just nearsightedness,
farsightedness, and astigmatism corrected by conventional LASIK.
However, these "higher order aberrations" account for only a small
amount (probably no more than 10%) of the total refractive error of
the average person's eye. Conventional LASIK increases higher order
aberrations. Although wavefront-guided treatments attempt to eliminate
higher order aberrations, results from the clinical studies have shown
that the average aberrations still increase, but less than they do
after conventional LASIK. In a few studies comparing wavefront-guided
LASIK to conventional LASIK, a slightly larger percentage of subjects
treated with wavefront LASIK achieved 20/20 vision without glasses or
contact lenses compared to subjects treated with conventional LASIK.
Patient selection ("When is LASIK not for me?") and the experience and
competence of the surgeon are still the most important considerations.

Q: What percentage of patients attain 20/20 vision or better without
glasses or contacts?
A: Data in the Approval Orders and related documents summarizes the
outcomes from the clinical trials submitted to the FDA for each
approved device. Links to these documents are included on the
FDA-APPROVED LASERS page.
Q: Can you send me more information or respond to my concern?
A: No. The most current information we have about LASIK is on this
website and we update it routinely. We do not have the resources to
respond directly to patient concerns or questions. We encourage you to
discuss these matters with your doctor.
Q: Can I use information from the FDA LASIK website?
A: Yes. Information on this website can be used freely by the public.
Any use on other websites or in publications should be properly cited.
market their name online.

Those motivated by work-related expectations are more active in
monitoring their presence online. Public personae are more likely to
say that a wide range of personal content (both creative and mundane

One in three adult internet users has posted creative content online.
Social Networking Profiles: With adults, transparency is the norm.
Most internet users feel as though it would be "pretty easy" for
someone to locate or contact them based on the information available
about them online. Young adults, many of whom maintain a profile on a

Most of the major players have been completely re-engineered within the past three years. With so many good trucks available, this is a fine time to be shopping.

If one truck stands out from this generally outstanding pack, it's the Toyota Tacoma. It offers a comfortable cab, a refined ride, responsive handling, proven off-road capability, and quality construction. The Double Cab offers more rear-seat comfort than most of the competition, with enough room to rival a small sedan. Properly equipped V6 models are rated to tow up to 6,500 pounds.

For 2007, Tacoma comes with larger seats for enhanced interior comfort, while chrome-rimmed instruments and all-new audio head units brighten its two-tone instrument panel.

Jerry Katzman Md, Why fish oil is actually good for you.

When you're thinking of things that are good for you, fish oil probably isn't first on the list you come up with. In fact, the sound of fish oil may not be appealing to you at all.

What you may not realize is that fish oil is not only good for you, it may actually save your life!

What's In It?

Why is fish oil so good for you? It's what's inside that counts. Fish oil contains high levels of Omega 3 fatty acids, which are essential for the proper growth, maintenance and functioning of the body.

DHA

DHA is a major component of your brain, nerve and retinal membranes. Your body cannot produce DHA on its own so you need to get it through outside sources like fish, nuts and health-food supplements.

EPA

EPA is another component of fish oil pills. This essential fatty acid has been linked to good and a lower incidence of several types of cancer. Like DHA, your body cannot produce EPA on its own so you need a diet high in Omega 3 in order to meet your body's needs.

A Symposium at Stanford's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics last year focused on the therapeutic benefits of musical rhythm. Researchers suggest that rhythmic music may affect brain function and treat a range of neurological conditions such as depression, bringing lasting benefits to one's state of mind, even when no longer listening to the music.

Fletcher believes that harp music is well suited to provide these benefits. The harp is a harmonic instrument that allows the harpist to play a wide variety of music, styles, textures and accompaniments rather than melodies only. However, the choice of music is very personal and needs to suit the individual. Whatever the choice of instrumentation and musical style, she suggests that people begin their listening sessions with music that has a fairly slow and relaxing tempo, gradually adding selections with a more rapid tempo. "The music will become a stimulant," continues Fletcher, "that increases the production of endorphins, energizes and quickens brain activity, and helps the listener to focus and think more clearly."

Fletcher is pleased that people who listen to her music, both those for whom she performs live harp performances and those who listen to her CDs, regularly write to her about the mood enhancing qualities of her music. "I encourage everyone to embrace this effective, low cost way to ease depression and stress," she continues, "especially during the winter season when higher rates of depression are often reported."

Alexis Koskan - Leaning Toward Lean: Clear Thinking For Better Health(Care)

Alexis Koskan

Mindfulness is all about paying attention. It's amazing what can be
accomplished when mindfulness is applied to systems that need all the
attention they can get. If there's an industry that needs some CPR and
TLC, it's healthcare.

Cindy Jimmerson is a 30-year trauma nurse
who is passionate about streamlining healthcare processes. Her
consulting company, Lean HealthCare West, is blasting through
always-done-it-that-way thinking to reduce waiting time for patients,
eliminate staff errors, and save hospitals and patients millions of
dollars.

She is the Queen of Lean in hospitals, and she's on a
mission to improve the health of our country's largest industry--$1.76
trillion in 2002, and soon to explode as the baby-boomers hit their
sixties.

When it comes to looking for powerful tools for
transforming processes, we're fortunate to have a proven model that
continues to outperform peers around the world. The Toyota Production
System was originally developed by an American, W. Edwards Deming, who
couldn't get anyone in the U.S. to pay attention to his approach. The
Japanese listened and learned. Today, TPS continues to propel
industries toward greater productivity, less waste, improved quality,
and increased workplace appreciation.

Cindy's firm takes TPS
straight to the ER and beyond. Now, you might think that a model
focusing on getting product moved through the assembly line more
efficiently is completely inappropriate for handling human patients.
You would be dead wrong.

TPS focuses on adding value to what
matters most--in this case, caring for patients. In doing so, it takes
a hard look at every step taken which results in less contact with
those who need care. The customer is king, and in healthcare, the
customer is the patient. Instead of developing ways to make hospitals
more profitable by relegating the patient to widget status, TPS
restores the patient as the primary focus. How refreshing!

There's
a common misconception that people do not like change. I happen to love
rearranging rooms every season. However, I'd probably get a little
cranky if I walked into my house and found that someone else had moved
all the furniture.

The real story is that people do not like
change that is imposed upon them, but they appreciate being part of the
solution. Employees using TPS love having the opportunity to creatively
explore options that allow them to perform their work with greater
efficiency. And why not? It helps them reconnect to the best parts of
their job.

Toyota walks its talk. It would be one thing if the
company had a policy of being "open to suggestions" while rarely making
any changes. But Toyota consistently acts on its employees'
recommendations. In fact, the most recent figures indicate that the
company implemented 99% of its yearly total of over 700,000 employee
ideas!

That same emphasis on valuing the knowledge and experience
of employees and trusting them to develop better processes is the key
to tackling healthcare's estimated waste--a whopping 50%.

TPS is
mindfulness in action--paying attention to extra steps, inconvenient
sequences, and indirect communication. The best part? Anyone can do it.

Doctors,
nurses and other hospital workers are hard-working, compassionate
people who are committed to providing their patients with top-notch
care. Broken systems get in the way. Mindful management can repair
those systems, and in the process, everyone wins.

Mindfulness at work? It works.

Dr William Boothe - Use Natural Vision Correction To Improve Your Eyesight

When you think about improving your eyesight, natural therapies are
not usually the first thing that occurs to you. Most people make an
appointment with their eye doctor, and resign themselves to the fact
that they will be buying new glasses, contact lenses, or maybe even the
dreaded bifocals.

Your eyes, like any other part of your body, can be strengthened and
protected by exercise. Your ophthalmologist probably doesn't advocate
this, but since about 1910, a small group of physicians and eye care
professionals have been researching and advocating natural vision
correction through a system of eye exercises.

Dr. William H Bates was one of the leading crusaders for eyesight
improvement by natural methods. He was one of the original physicians
who believed there was more to vision than the actual physical act of
seeing. He believed that vision was a mind/body process that
interpreted visual information. Unfortunately, for Dr. Bates, he was
about seventy years ahead of his time. In his era of medicine,
physicians considered the mind and body to be completely separate, with
no interaction.

In the 1940's, Dr. Bates published his findings. He believed that
eyesight problems were the result of the eye muscles straining to see.
He developed simple stress relieving eye exercises that improved
eyesight and allowed people to get rid of their glasses for good.

Over the decades, various physicians and eye doctors studied and
improved on the Bates method of natural vision correction. A small
grass roots group of these doctors remains to advocate for natural
methods of improving eyesight.

Today's vision improvement exercises are used to correct many types of
vision problems, including lazy eye (amblyopia), crossed eyes
(strabismus), near or far sightedness, and ageing vision.

There are currently over two hundred different eye exercises available
to treat a variety of vision problems. Most are simple, and easily fit
into your daily routine. Here is one to try if you spend a lot of time
on the computer. Tack the front page of the newspaper to a wall, about
eight feet away from your monitor. Every ten to fifteen minutes, glance
up at the newspaper, focus on the headline, the sub-heads, pictures,
and smaller type. This will minimize the blurry vision you have at the
end of the day, by giving your distance vision a chance to work at
regular intervals during the day.

Natural eye exercises are not the total solution, but they can help you
preserve the vision you have, delay the need for bifocals, and save you
money on frequently changing eye glass prescriptions.

Get your free exclusive report "7 Common Things That Rapidly Deteriorate Your Vision" at You'll discover the daily dangers that most people aren't aware of that
are proven to blur your eyesight and cause loss of vision. This report
could save your eyesight.

Early Christianity, a book by Fred Stitt, explores how early church
leaders created stories to connect the life of Jesus with Old Testament
prophesy and common myths of their times, often sacrificing important
messages in the process.

What was Jesus' real message? According to author Fred Stitt in his
provocative new book, many of the stories about Jesus, including those
about the Holy Spirit and the virgin birth, are myths, overshadowing
the important lessons Jesus really meant to impart. Many churches focus
on these old stories and either ignore or de-emphasize the key messages
of Jesus, which are found in the Lord's Prayer, the Sermon on the
Mount, the parables, and Jesus' injunction to feed the hungry and visit
the sick.

In clear, concise prose, Stitt explains how the New Testament is really
two separate books that have been interwoven, further muddying the
understanding of Jesus' true purpose on earth. Stitt integrates the
best of contemporary biblical scholarship with his own unique theories
to discover the true meaning of the New Testament. Provocative and
important, this book is sure to find a place in church and home
libraries.

Natural Stone Council Introduces New Branding Initiative

The Natural Stone Council (NSC), a collaborative organization representing the stone industry's business and trade associations, today announced the launch of their new branding program. Differentiating natural stone products from competitors has been a long-standing priority for the NSC. The goal of the branding strategy is to promote the value and unique benefits of genuine stone and educate the design, construction, and consumer communities on what makes nature's own building material special.

The multi-faceted program, created in partnership with McKee Wallwork Cleveland, an Albuquerque-based advertising agency, is comprised of a newly designed "Genuine Stone" logo inspired by ancient coins, the development of an NSC website to centralize and disseminate the best information on natural stone that the industry has to offer, and three eye-catching print advertisements suggesting that natural stone is "As genuine as you."

Complaint Remover

"The NSC's top priority is to be proactive in positioning natural stone as a high quality product in the category of construction materials," said Mark Fernandes, president of the NSC. "Our 'Genuine Stone' program will generate an awareness among builders and consumers that the benefits of natural stone, such as durability, make it an excellent building choice."

Each component is designed to support the idea that every piece of natural stone is a one-of-a-kind work of art. The majority of the campaign components will be complete in spring 2007.

David A. Hidalgo MD

Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic offers a new solution for those with protuding ears by launching "otoplasty"

An otoplasty procedure can help people of all ages to overcome the embarrassment and distress caused by irregular shaped or protruding ears. Aside from the nose, the ears are the most prominent facial features we possess. Protruding ears can cause a lot of concerns and social stress, and deteriorates a person's self-confidence. Thanks to new technology, a plastic surgery procedure can bring protruding ears closer to the head and make large ears smaller. The procedure is called otoplasty.

Otoplasty is usually done to set protruding ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. The procedure can take from two to five hours depending on the problem. For the most part, the operation is done on children between the ages of four and 14 because ears are almost fully grown by age four. Ear surgery on adults is also possible. Adults may also benefit from this procedure with no additional risks.

When ear surgery is performed by a qualified, experienced surgeon, complications are infrequent and usually minor. In most cases, ear surgery will leave a faint scar in the back of the ear that will fade with time.

There is much to learn about otoplasty surgery before deciding to undergo it. Most issues are best explored during your consultation. At Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic, the surgeon will go over your ear surgery options, procedure, complications and risks and discuss your goals. It is also very important to carefully follow the surgeon's post-care instructions to achieve the best outcome.

About Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic
Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic is the leading center of plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery. It offers a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic procedures as well as plastic reconstructive consulting.

Try LASIK Surgery - LASIK Dallas

LASIK Dallas

When you open your eyes first thing in the morning, what is the first thought you get? Most of us are basically grateful for another great God-given day ahead, while some might be making mental rosters of the things they have to do for the day. These are the simple things that rush inside our heads when we wake up. But for those who are not able to see everything in their periphery, waking up is not different in any way. This is due to the fact that the first thing they try to see is their pair of eyeglasses.

Thus, activities for those who have poor visions are limited.

For instance, you can't enjoy swimming with your contacts on, that is, if you do not wear graded goggles, which, by the way, is in the top ten funniest things to wear. You cannot watch a foreign film without your glasses on, unless you've learned the language and can do with the subtitles. It is also embarrassing when you try to catch someone's attention from afar because you could be wrong of the person's identity.

The cost of LASIK can definitely put off clients at first, but after weighing the benefits, the price is not something worth worrying about. The price tag is a small amount compared to the many benefits LASIK can bring into your life. There is no reason for you to disapprove of LASIK since clinics take 0 percent downpayments and interest.

Thus, if you're in Dallas or Greensboro, or anywhere else in the country and the world, you can rest assured that the Selkin Center will give you only the best operation possible, and for a reasonable expense. If experience is a case for you, Dr. Robert Selkin has treated 55,000 patients. If you really want to make use of this surgery, you have to know if you qualify first by going to the center.

Cash flow. To stay in business, you've got to keep a steady stream moving through your company.

A small business owner mentioned the other day that he has "enough work to keep his staff busy until next February." Another mentioned that his current projects were ending and he needed to "start beating the bushes for more work." Which one do you think will be successful?

The first business owner was busy taking action so he would have business long into the future. The second owner is typical of many business owners today. It's unlikely that the second business owner will be around for long. He'll either run out of work or become so burnt out he gives up.

To survive in business, you must never stop looking for that next business opportunity. Dedicate at least 25 percent (50 percent or more is better) of your time to developing future business.

Make sure that new business development has dedicated space on your calendar every single week. Think of this activity like a funnel. You always need to have a pile of new contacts coming in the top of the funnel so you'll have plenty coming out the bottom.

And remember, business development is not an event. It's an ongoing process that requires regular action.

Effects Of Energy Drinks: Boon Or Bane - Energy Automation Systems

Energy Automation Systems

Rare is the chance for you to suffer from the drawbacks of energy drinks if you happen to drink them properly. However if not, your life can be at risk.

This is a constant reminder coming from the manufacturers of energy drinks. All of the people are probably aware that energy drink can do so much for you. This will not only help in increasing your level of enthusiasm in your work but as well as your confidence.

Energy drinks are mere beverages that are being sold in the market. The difference lies on the ingredients that these are made of as compared to the typical drinks that you are taking. These contain large doses of caffeine and some legal stimulants that are approved by the FDA.

The amount of caffeine, ephedrine, guarana and ginseng will depend on the content of each bottle. If you want a big punch or a satisfying gulp you can get the biggest bottles available. These are sold in college campuses, leading stores, groceries and even drugstores.

Active people has proven the effectiveness of energy drinks. On the contrary, you should be aware about the consequences of the product also. This is true because once you make use of it or take it in a wrong manner you can encounter some health failures.

There are short and long-term effects of energy drinks though the individual responses may vary from one person to another. Energy drinks must likewise be taken properly because the ingredients that these contain are also powerful enough to affect your system.

The boosting effect of energy drinks can turn to a nightmare for anyone. Ingredients such as stimulants can affect your heartbeat and blood pressure. This arouses awareness from medical specialists who have conducted studies about the effects of energy drinks.

Do not be overly alarmed because the harmful effects of these type of drinks can be prevented. The problem lies on the manner of how the product is drank and the amount that is ingested. In other words, there are certain conditions where the drawbacks can affect you.

First, an energy drink is not an alternative for the lost water in the system. Therefore, you should not make it a practice to drink energy beverages while exercising. This is because the diuretic quality of the caffeine content of the energy drink can leave a dehydrating effect on your body. This should not be the case because these are not natural alternatives.

Second, specific energy drinks are suited for each type of activities. You cannot drink Mountain Dew as a sport energy drink because of the soda content that it has. Simple things like that can cause you harm.

Lastly, energy drink should never be combined with alcohol. The reason behind is basic. Remember that energy drink is a stimulant while alcohol is a depressant. You can just imagine the contrasting effect that it can bring in your system.

Considering those effects of energy drinks, it must be taken into account that the possible outcome of taking the beverage will always depend upon you. If you want to undergo the said consequences then you can always violate the rules. However, if you are after its good effects then it is more advisable and helpful to follow some prescribed restrictions.

Energy - How to Have More of It - Joe Merlo

Joe Merlo

Something the successful business person needs is - lots of Energy! You need Brain Energy and you need Body Energy. However as with any other kind of energy, it's constantly being drained away and needs replacing.

Dealing with people, your customers and your team, can both drain your brain and your body - and you probably don't need me to tell you that.

Let's look at Brain Energy - Imagine that you receive a letter from your bank manager saying - - "I need you to come in and see me." If you react to that with - "Oh no! What does he want, what's wrong now? Maybe he wants to recall my loan." That sort of reaction drains your brain of energy and gives you stress.

The successful business person doesn't react she thinks. Reacting drains the brain - thinking, less so.

Get the thinking bit working and say to yourself - "I'll phone him now; I'll speak to him and see what he wants. If it's about the poor business results, what information do I need to make my case? Perhaps he wants to talk about how I could develop the business." Whatever you're thinking - stop the negative stuff - it'll kill you

If one of your people comes to you with a problem or you receive a customer complaint, start thinking - "Let's see what I can do about this."

Do not, and I repeat - Do not say - "Oh no! What am I going to do now?" Every time you say - "Oh no!" - your brain has a huge drain of energy.

I just want to say a few more words about stress. People will tell you that there's good stress and bad stress. I'm talking about bad stress and it occurs when your brain is drained of energy. Some business people seem to believe that it "goes with the territory" and some even wear it as a "badge of honour."

They also believe that it can't be avoided; it's part of being in business and the world we live in. Organisations do have a responsibility to minimise levels of stress in their workforce but we have a responsibility for ourselves.

It's very important to minimise your levels of stress and you can do that by thinking rather than reacting. Challenge your inbuilt programs, stop saying - "That makes me really mad" or "That really gets on my nerves."

Start saying - "This is something I have to deal with and I'll deal with it" - You have the choice.

I know your probably thinking (or is it reacting) - "That's all very well Alan but its hard sometimes not to get stressed." You're absolutely right however; let me give you some more reasons why you need to work at minimising it.

Stress can cause heart disease, sleeplessness, sexual problems, overeating, drinking too much, loss of concentration and stomach upsets. Research is now telling us that many if not most of our illnesses can be related to stress.

When we get stressed a chemical is released into our bloodstream called Cortisol, sometimes known as the Stress Hormone. High levels of Cortisol can lead to diabetes and skin problems. There is also a suggestion that Cortisol attacks our immune system and leaves us vulnerable to many of the bugs and viruses that come along. This also includes cancer.

So if you've ever suffered from skin complaints or perhaps too many colds, it could very well be the results of stress. I don't want to scare you death or give you any more stress, I just want you to - think.

Now let's look at Body Energy -

So what about the body stress? The body and the brain are linked together so when the brain drains of energy so does the body. However the body does a lot of running about, up and down off the seat and often takes a bit of a battering. For it to work well, it needs to be in good condition in the first place. We should all know by now that if we eat too much or eat the wrong things, smoke too much or drink too much alcohol, then our body is in danger of breaking down.

Again it comes back to programming. I often tell people that I eat a lot of salad. The response - "Salad is boring." - Not the way I make it, it isn't; I put all sorts of things into a salad other than the green ingredients - chillies, sun blush tomatoes, anchovies, tuna, sardines, chicken, olives, cheese, sausage etc. Not all at once of course, I like a bit of variation on the theme. So open up your mind and open up the fridge but be careful what you take out. Remember - you won't get an ulcer from what you eat - you'll get it from what's eating you.

If you want to be successful in business, then you're going to have to do some exercise. Now I know you think you don't have the time. You may also be the type that doesn't want to go to the gym and lift heavy things or leap about in an aerobics class; however, you need to take some exercise that makes you sweat a little. I'm sorry, but a round of golf doesn't count, it isn't the kind of exercise you need. Golf is great and it's good for the stress but it doesn't make you sweat.

If you're going to walk then walk fast for a distance, enough to push up the heart rate and increase the breathing. (And don't run round the golf course with your clubs on your back - that's going too far.)

Again, get your internal program right and start to think how you can make your exercise enjoyable. I see some people at the health club making the whole business a real chore. They get on a bike or a rowing machine and try to kill themselves for twenty minutes. If that's your thing then fine but please don't make it a chore, plug into the sound system and catch up with what's on TV.

I like to do circuit classes with a whole group of people many of which have become friends. I enjoy the chat beforehand, the music and the exercise. (And I also like the fact - there are more girls than guys)

If you're really not into exercise then please make sure you have other activities outside of your workplace and make them fun. Too many people are going home and slumping in front of the TV - successful people don't do that.

So look after the body and the brain and you'll have lots of vroom!

http://www.energyautomation.com/

John Schrerer

It is often said that there is no such things as 100% security. While that is true, it is no reason why you shouldn't take all necessary precautions to prevent unauthorized access. In this article we will examine a few ways to protect your data.

Local Security

Out of all the different ways an intruder can access your computer, local access is the most promising way to circumvent your security. If a person has local access to a computer, it is only a matter of time before the data on the computer will be extracted.

However, protecting your computer against local attacks is also easy and only takes a few minutes. First, put a password on your BIOS configuration. Typically, it involves pressing Esc, Tab, F1, or some other key to access the BIOS configuration. From there, the configuration menu should have a tab about security. Open the tab about security and choose a decent password (there are hints about choosing a good password later on). Also, set the computer to boot up from the hard drive first, and do not let it try to boot from the A: drive or the CD-ROM drive. The reason why it shouldn't attempt to read the A: or CD-ROM drive is that an intruder could use a CD-ROM bootable
O.S. like Knoppix to steal your password, even though a BIOS password is set. Now save the changes and exit.

Now to set a password on your accounts on Windows operating systems:

For NT and XP users: Make sure your administrative account has a password on it. Also, put a password on any other accounts you have and disable the guest account.

For 95, 98, and ME users: The security offered on these platforms is insufficient for the protection of your data. The best option for these platforms would be to rely on other forms of protection, such as encryption.

Internet Security

The Internet opens up a host of security issues, but since the security problems are so prevalent there are many good solutions. We will now take a look at a few of them.

Firewalls:

Firewalls protect things called ports. Ports are what your computer uses to access the Internet. To view a webpage, for example, your computer connects to the website's computer through port 80. Programs called
Trojans can open ports on your computer and let people get into your computer and do whatever they want, including stealing passwords and credit cards. With a firewall, you can close most ports and protect your computer from Internet attacks. A firewall that I highly recommend is Zone Lab's free firewall called ZoneAlarm. It can be found at Zone Lab's website,
http://www.zonelabs.com.

Anti-Virus software:

Ah... its name rings like poetry in my ear... but seriously, anti-virus software is seriously serious business. Seriously. No way around it, you need to be protected! Anti-virus software is not the be all end of computer security, nor was it meant to be. However, it is a major and powerful form of defense against viruses, trojans, and worms. Now let's talk money... the universal language. Most anti-virus products cost money and a subscription cost... so check around for the best deals. However, the most prominent anti-virus software products are Norton Anti-virus and McAffee . But for you people who can't live without freebies, try AVG by Grisoft . The personal version is free... and awesome. Literally... no joke... free. Wow. Try them all and decide which one you like the best. After you have one, setup auto scan if it isn't setup already. Okay, now you are ready! Concentrate, and become one with the force!

Spyware protection:

Spyware... that this stuff can just be plain nasty. These are the programs that discover information about you and send it to their evil masters. Beware! Danger, Will Robinson! Now, lets talk about ways to destroy them. People will have day-long arguments over which product to use, but the two main programs (both free!) are Spybot: Search and Destroy and Ad-aware . Try them both, and see which one you like.

Now for the most powerful security tool... listen carefully... this is powerful! COMMON SENSE! Firewalls, anti-virus software, and spyware protection is useless against social engineering. Social engineering is conning a person into compromising their security. Now I know what you are saying, why would someone ever compromise their security because some stranger told them to do so!?!? It doesn't make sense... but it happens. All the time. Think about some e-mail messages you might have gotten... "I Luuuuv you!" "Your pictures are inside!" "I saw your profile... " If a virus is attached, and you download it hoping to see something and you see something quite different, you have been the victim of social engineering. Most social engineering attacks are more powerful and dangerous, but you get the idea.

Checklist to protect yourself:

            ___ Set a bios password.

___ Change startup to hard disk.

___ Set password on user accounts.

            ___ Disable guest account.

            ___ Download and setup firewall.

___ Download and setup anti-virus software.

___ Download and setup spyware remover.

            ___ Use common sense!

Remember, security is not a destination, it is a journey.
http://www.videoprofessor.com

Do's and Don'ts for the Internet Marketing Newbie

, myself, being an internet marketing "newbie" (endearing term used to refer to people who have just started their own internet business and don't know what the ---- they are doing) have learned a few things and would like to share my observations, tribulations, and triumphs with my fellow "newbies". In sharing my experiences I hope I can help you avoid some of the pitfalls and obstacles you will face. Let's try to avoid some of those "Information Overload" headaches as well. I don't want you to walk through the same mud puddle if I can point it out and help you avoid it.

First, in the article which is Part 1, I will list some important "DO's". Part 2 will cover the DON'Ts.

· Do take your time, one step at a time. Do understand that building your business is not something than can be done in a matter of days, not even months in most cases. It's going to take time, lots of time.

· Do practice Patience! I know it's not one of my virtues either and it's really hard to put into practice, but to save your sanity, try to be patient!

· Do understand in the beginning you will be suffocated with so much information and resources your head will hurt (that's where the Information Overload headache comes from) and you will not know which direction to take first. You'll just be spinning your wheels if you try to go off into 20 different directions at once. Remember, concentrate on one thing at a time!

· Do use your best judgment when weeding through all of the information. Throw away the obvious hype and keep what you feel is resourceful and useful.

· Do make it a goal to accomplish one task each day. Later when you can handle it add one or two more tasks. Progress slowly.

· Do look for free resources, there's plenty out there on the internet to help you build and promote your business. There's also a lot of hype and misinformation and just plain bad information, so definitely use number 4.

· Do join some good internet marketing forums. You will find a lot of advice and tips on how to promote your business. Many people there are also "newbies" and you can bounce ideas off of each other. Many will post what has worked or hasn't worked for them. Learn from the internet marketing experts, they were in your shoes at one time, benefit from their experiences.

· Do file and organize the information you receive for retrieval later on. Organize your email by creating folders to keep information categorized and easy to find. Keep a log in Microsoft Excel with all of your affiliate ID's, affiliate URL's, and memberships.

· Do learn some basic HTML code. This will make it easier for you to change, delete, and make any additions to your website. If you don't know how to add a link to your website then how will you exchange links with other websites to increase your search engine rankings. Go to
http://www.htmlgoodies.com and take their basic HTML tutorial. Read my article titled "Why You Should Learn HTML" on my Articles and News page at
http://www.profitfromhomebiz.com

· Do realize that it's going to take a lot of work and time to establish your business. Especially, a business on the internet. It's not an auto-pilot business. You will probably spend more hours working at this business than you would a regular 9 to 5 job.

· Chances are you are new to internet marketing, so study and learn as much as you can before you just jump in. Know what to expect and be prepared.

· Do realize that having an internet business is just like having a business in the "real" world. You need to have a plan, you need to advertise, and you must have a budget.

· Do download the "30 Days to Success" E-book written by Stone Evans. You can find a free copy on my website at http://www.profitfromhomebiz.com. You will need to provide your name and email address which will subscribe you to my Home Business Tips Newsletter (which is full of internet marketing tips and articles), and then you can download the E-book. It gives you a day by day guide on how to promote your business online. It's an invaluable tool!

· Do believe in yourself and your abilities. Believe in your success!

So as you'll all have noticed, I haven't had a whole pile of time for shtoom
lately. Well, by "lately" I mean "for quite a while" - work and life and
Python release management has soaked up quite a pile of time.

So how to fix this? There's a whole pile of code in shtoom, and it seems quite
a shame to let it just rot. Opening up the code for more contributors is the
very obvious solution. Asking divmod to turn into Yet Another Open Source
Hosting Company isn't really fair, though. I had a brief chat with dash
(Allen Short) last night, and he concurred in this.

I'm very loathe to expose myself to the horror of SourceForge again (in
particular, their bug tracker of doom, or the regular downtime, wah).
Google's Code Hosting project seems useful for the actual svn - in addition,
through various arcane paths, I can get an svn import of the current code
into their system, so we don't lose history. Their bugtracking isn't very
good, unfortunately.

I still have shtoom.net lying around - I could set something up at a hosting
company for this, and run up a roundup or trac instance there.

I'm open to comments on this.

Thanks,

# Hello,
#
# i spent few days playing with the shtoom, but i always ended with some problems
# with audio. I ended up installing MSVC2003, .NET1.1, .NET1.1SDK, MSPSDK to
# compile the fastaudio module. I moved a little bit further but i am still stuck.
# This is the log the shreadder.py ends with:
#
# It looks like the dev close somehow does not work. skipping the assert line
# results in crash of python24. i tried to compile the module with latest
# libsndfile even the one recommended on the original pages and nothing works. any
# suggestions here? possibly the module of fastsound that is actually working with
# .24? i saw some cocoaaudio based thing in the svn repo, should i go that way?
# there's something about the environment vars in win32 that will choose the
# device... maybe wrong device is used in win32.
