Python Scripts Problem

I have Kexi 1.1.3. Am running it under Ubuntu Gnome

I have successfully imported my tables from MS Access file.  I have created my queries.  I need to create scripts for various operations.

As a starting point I tried to run "Export data to XHTML" script that came with KEXI, but when I do I get this error message, "Unknown interpretor 'Python'".  Python is installed on my system.

What do I need to do?  I do have KDE installed as well as Gnome, do I have to run KEXI under KDE?

You need to install the Python-backend which is in koffice/libs. In Kexi 2.x
based on Qt4+KDE4 that backend is in kdebindings.

No, just the KOffice python backend. It may the case that Ubuntu did split it
out of koffice-libs into an own package...
