QA Tip: Don't Click Here

I recently blogged about this QA tip:

http://www.w3.org/QA/Tips/noClickHere

In a nutshell, most of the advice offered is sound, but the blanket admonition to avoid using verbs as links may have changed since this QA Tip was written. Here’s the full post:

Please let me know if I could provide further information or be of any assistance.

Best regards,

In the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Techniques [1],

Example 2 of Technique H20 [2] (Identifying the purpose of a link using link text and text associated with the parent element of the link) provides the "command" form of the verb "to consult".

Example 4 of Technique H30 [3] (providing link text that describes the purpose of a link for anchor elements) provides the "command" form of the verb "to go" .

Example 2 of Technique H33 [4] (supplementing link text with the title attribute)  provides the
"command" form of the verb "to subscribe".

There may be additional information in [1] relevant or helpful to this discussion.

Are the examples referenced previously consistent with current practice, or do they need to be updated to reflect current practice?

Thanks and best wishes
