QDVDAuthor: Slideshow rendering issueHello
I have made progress since the response I got to my ffmpeg issue. But, while attempting to create a slide-show using QDVDAuthor (instead of QSlideshow like I was trying before,) sometimes the individual chapters will just stop rendering. I can't remember for sure how many chapters were set to render at once, but I changed the setting to "1" and tried again. I started the slide-show over again, and started the rendering process, and then went to bed. About eight hours later, only three out of twelve chapters had completed, and one was stalled at about 41%. Here is a screen-shot that will give you some idea about how many pictures are in each chapter: http://www.afolkey2.net/~steve/QDVDAuthor-Screenshots-0008.jpg During the time that I thought QDVDAuthor was rendering my slide-show chapters, nothing else was being done on this computer. Right now, rendering only one chapter (the only reason it is rendering now is because I right clicked on it and chose "Re-Render") this is what the resources on our system look like: http://www.afolkey2.net/~steve/QDVDAuthor-Screenshots-0009.jpg As you can see, only one processor (this is a quad-core processor) is maxing out at 100%. Also, only about 1.2GiB of memory (out of the 8 that are on this system) is being used. So at least on the surface anyway, it's not like our system is being over taxed :) I am at a loss as to what might be the issue here. It was implied elsewhere in this message, but for the sake of clarity, I will restate some relevant statistics about our system: 1. Processor: Intel Xeon 2Ghz Quad-core 2. Memory: 4x2Gib, for a total of 8Gib. I know that all four processors are used to their full capacity when I compile a lot of different projects from source code all at the same time. This is with no noticeable reduction in the usability of the system. Thank you, Steven P. Ulrick P.S.: I really apologize for my last two question to this list. Some of the information that you gave me I did need to know. But a lot of it you needed to tell me because I was too lazy to look into it just a LITTLE bit further. So, I apologize, and hope that I do not become a nuisance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! Hash: SHA1 Okay, I played around with the slideshows a bit and hope I fixed your issue. You can use the latest CVS source to give it a try. Varol :) Varol Okan wrote: > Steven P.
