QDVDAuthor 2.0 and porting to Qt4

Hello,

My name is Zarko and I am maintainer of Kdenlive package on Fedora's RPM Fusion repo.

I thinking about packaging QDVDAuthor for RPMFusion, but I have some questions, too.

1. When you plan release version 2.0?
2. When you plan port application to Qt4
3. Do you plan adopt application to KDE4 look?

That's all for now.

BTW for my opinion this app is the best of DVD authoring apps at the moment for Linux.

regards,

Zarko

Zarko,

1) I am planing in releasing 2.0 soon. Life is currently very busy for
me, so I can't spend as much time as I want on QDVDAuthor. I hope that
within a few weeks I'll get all the bug fixes etc in.
2) I Do not currently plan to convert QDVDAuthor to 4.x. I would love to
but given the time it would require and that I have no help with this it
is unlikely ( for now )
3) KDE4 Look. I started looking into the required libraries etc. But
again, I am running short on time. There is really not all that much
that requires change. The default File, and color dialogs are the most
obvious. Most of the dialogs are QDVDAuthor's native dialogs.

I know Qt 3.x is on its way out ( or almost out already ) but QDVDAuthor
has over 100000 lines of code and it would require a couple of months to
convert it to Qt 4.x.

Varol :)
