Dear all,
I am writing a book on Artificial Intelligence in Archaeology, and
therefore I have plenty of material about subjects like: classification,
clustering, concept formation, neural networks,... Although the book
cannot be placed on an open forum (it will be published by a commercial
publisher), there are materials that can be included in the wiki.
I have also a lot of material about statistics and spatial analysis.
Although some material is written in spanish, there is plenty of
materials that can be easily adapted in english.

You can check some of these materials at
http://seneca.uab.cat/PREHISTORIA/BARCELO/TYT.html  Please, follow the
buttons on the left side about Artificial Intelligence, statistics,
Spatial Analysis and Visualization.

best wishes

Dear Professor Barceló,
I would like to thank you for your availabilty in putting all these
materials online and make them . I think they can form a solid base for
starting a documentation project and they provide all the background
that is needed for using statistics and quantitative methods for
archaeology.

What is perhaps missing - not in your materials but generally speaking -
is the practical part of this "course" in quantitative archaeology.
Students can learn well and quickly the underlying concepts and theory,
but then comes the hard part, applying. This is briefly the idea behind
that wiki.

I hope someone else will have a say now, let's see if we can build
something together that would be useful for everybody.

Maybe your next book will be online, but for now, thanks again.

Stefano
