Question (Important)Hello, Timidity++ developers ! I am a huge fan of your program, I use it every day as my main midi player. I started a project for university what relyes on Timidity++, a GUI frontend writen in Java, I would like to call it MidityZ if i don't break your copyright.
I would apreciate if I will receive a reply as soon as posible with a responce. Seriously, "DataSmith" P.S. I apologize for my bad english.

I assume that MidityZ is a completely separate program, which does not share any code, nor call any any libraries that are part of timidity. I assume that it simply executes the TiMidity++ executable with appropriate flags. The name is suffiently different from TiMidity++ so as not to confuse anybody. I can't see how TiMidity++ can exert any copyright or trademark issues on to a completely independent front end. More GUI front ends equals more choice for the user, which is a good thing. Sounds good to me. Go for it! -Eric ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Register Now for Creativity and Technology (CaT), June 3rd, NYC.
