Question about "queryTime"

Hello everybody,

I've a little question concerning the queryTime attribute which is given
by the QueryResponse object.

According to the eXist source code, queryTime is the time effectively
spend on executing the query (quite obvious). It's computed on the
server-side and should be therefore independant from the client.

But, i've noticed a strange thing... If I use twice exactly the same
request, once through a Java program using the soap interface, and once
with PHP also with a soap interface ("phexist"), the value reported by the
queryTime will be significantly smaller with the Java program (around
500-600 ms, while PHP reports 800-1300ms).

Can someone explain me this?

TIA!

Cheers,
M.H.
