ok so this is how it might be he is the only card with the effect fire5 this might mean he has two fire5 so it would be ember swarm 5 damage location give plus 5 fire and because he is who he is he also get plus 5 again so 15 plus himself so plus 10 is 25 plus the 5 from the driver is 30 so your right

i thought i explained it very clearly now im gonna go a bit detail.
-magmon's creature card has +5 fire
-equiping viledriver adds another 5 to fire attacks so now we at 10
-ember swarm has a base damage of 5 and if the monster has fire attribute it does another 5 so we at 20 now
-and finally lava pond starts by giving magmon another fire+5 which is 25 and lava pond also gives fire attacks another +5 on fire so intotal its 30 damage.

You guys do realize that if Magmon's fighting a creature with low power, using ash torrent would deal much more damage (a total of 35).

yes but if the other creature has within 15 power of magmon then you wouldnt get the bonus and would deal less damage

true, but if were considering Magmon's max damage than Ash torrent would be the ideal choice in realizing Magmon's total damage output potential. I'd suggest using a song of treachery, though I'd assume that a canon of casuality would deal more damage in 1 turn, as opposed to treachery's passive effects.

yea i figure just get a creature with 2 or 3 mugic counters and then blow the heck out of your enemy with cannon of casualty and a few simple attacks

yep, you can also take into account the special abilties of creatures that deal damage (tian and solvis are a few we know), these effects can presumably be activated at anytime allowing for even higher amounts of damage in 1 turn if you wish to use them.

If you calculate that with mugic, than cards such as Maxxor don't seem so much as a threat anymore when you can instantly deal 50 damage or so damage worth of mugic and activated ability at your whim.

i don't like cards like maxxor and chaor because their stats are only a bit above average and they cant mix tribes so you lose a BIG advantage there, like if someone plays a mix tribe team they can use all types of mugic but if your using a specific tribe and someone knocks out your using of that tribes mugic then your stuck with generic mugic which is weaker then the tribe mugic

maybe your looking at the wrong cards. if it has the discipline (silver cross thing) symbol then it's a VERY outdated version.

Most cards got changed dramatically, Maxxor and Chaor now have a "this creature may not be played in multi-tribe teams" or something like that, along with some stat changes (I believe maxxor got slower, but his courage is now higher, and his effect got reduced from healing 20 to 15.)
