Question about psychometric / aptitude tests

Hi PhD-Designers,
I'm not sure this is the right list for my question - but I have a feeling
someone on here will be able to answer it anyway. Forgive me if this is a
bit off-topic!

I'm currently looking into psychometric and aptitude tests for use within a
job application process on a recruitment website (I know there are
weaknesses with such tools but that's another discussion for another day).
I've noticed that there are a few suppliers who charge for this. As an
ex-academic, I can't help wondering whether there are any freely available
tests out there as these paid services are probably based on published
academic research...

Can anyone give me any pointers?

thanks

Harry,

The MBTI is widely used (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) in this context.
You have to be both trained in its use and pay for the full model, but
there are shortform versions of it, and other interpretations that are
freely available, and might be suitable if you are using it in a non-
lab situation. The Kiersey test is one such derivation which seems
popular.

Try Googling for mbti free version.
