Quick Questions IDE or SATA Internal DVD+-RW burner ?

IDE or SATA internal DVD+-RW burner, which works better with EAC?
Do I have to use the same type that originally came with my Dell Inspiron 530? LG, or Plextor? Lite on? Any stories, or comments would be appreciated.

No you don't.

I've had excellent results with NEC/Optiarc drives, which had the C2
error detection features on them so got perfect rips blindingly fast.
Plextor are overpriced. The others are so cheap it hardly matters if it
breaks down or you don't like it, you can just get another.
