        I think that is a good idea. Codification would be terrific

        But my experience of Apple management is that you are
unlikely to get them to change their mind on overall strategy if they
are set on something else.... but you can convince them that there is
a big problem that they should do *something* about.

        I also expect that codification would just lead to the rules
being changed post-facto once they decided they really didn't like
something. I also think that there are probably aspects that Apple
simply isn't willing to talk about -- some categories of app that
they might be convinced to do by the right partner, but not through
the submission process but via the sort of negotiation independent
developers are unlikely to get the chance to engage in, for example.

        Unfortunately, I'm not going to WWDC myself, so it will be up
to others.But I hope people make a lot of noise about this issue.
