Hi Jonathan

Sorry to hear of your troubles – maybe we should set up a club!  Did you get
many runs in before it went pop?

Hi Jonathan,

Given that Busas still attract a premium price compared to other lump's
probably sensible to rebuild it. You're unlikely to find a decent one for
less than about £2.5k.

I rebuilt mine last year after a big end went. I used SEP
( http://www.sep-kegworth.co.uk <http://www.sep-kegworth.co.uk> ) who
reconditioned the crank and supplied
new main shells. IIRC I think it cost me about £300.

My engine went on to develop a gearbox problem so I stuck a newer one in
but the plan's to rebuild the old one again.

Probably worth speaking to Powertec and second hand parts, they often have
quite a lot of stick.

HTH,

Bob
