I just wanted to inform you that my open sources LDAP realm for Nexus
has reached v0.2 and is now available at
http://code.google.com/p/nexus-ldap/. Please note that it requires
Nexus 1.3 or later as it takes advantage of some improved plugin
support.
This realm enables authentication of users through LDAP. It will also
allow you to assign roles (defined in Nexus) to users defined in an
LDAP directory. Mapping of LDAP groups to Nexus roles is not supported
(yet).
Please report any issues or requests in the issue tracker at the project page!
For clarity, I should state that this LDAP realm implementation is not
the same one as provided by Sonatype in Nexus Pro. It provides some of
the same LDAP support, but also lacks some. However, it's free. :-)
