« Return to Thread: Question to Jacob: Facelets status?
Has JBoss ever suggested handling Facelets
the way the have done with Ajax4JSF and RIchfaces? There seems to be a
lot of momentum with JBoss/Redhat. J

I would say pick up an issue and submit
patches. And let another person
review them so they can be committed. Easy
process.

I'm with Pablo. I could throw in some hours/week towards facelets
development.

+1, facelets is still an independent project from the JSF development,
hence it should have active developers.

While facelets as part of
JSF is good, it does not excuse the lack of
development, communication, or new committers for facelets.
A few inactive committers and inclusion in a future standard is not
enough to keep the facelets project alive and well. Since Jacob and
other committers do not have enough time to work on facelets, they
really NEED to invite more committers.
