That’s the thing I have been using it for 2 months.
And the fact that I CAN NOT RMB a file and compare it against the SVN is a HUGE productivity limitation, I am forced to go to the windows menu to do the job or use the keyboard shortcut. Secondly as I stated it is NOT clear enough when it is checking against local or remote.
Making those changes will make the product better and more productive.
Every SVN tool I have used as a clear understanding with the menu that it is either Team->Compare (which means it is going to check the SVN) or compare to->local (Which means it will compare the local history for changes.
To have an RMB menu that has show changes and NOTHING else, one is automatically going to ASSUME that it is going to compare remotely. When it doesn’t, because there is no other option to do a remote compare in the RMB context menu.
If you are happy with these then that’s good for you, but as a new user who has been using it for 2 months I have pointed out some very useful short comings and a learning curve that doesn’t need to be there if some small changes are made.

I like the idea that I can quickly see the local change and not the server changes.
Not all products are same, and they don't have to be. After using perforce for more than 4 years, i found the whole SVN thing weird, i.e. pristine copy, local copy. Now I am used to smartsvn. very good in its class.
Use it for a month or so, every thing will fall in its place.

Are you serious?
Anyone who is worth their weight in gold, would be using the RMB option and that should be compare changes should default to the revision of SVN and not the local. If I need or want to check local the compare to local would be better.
I think the whole menu system and the way it is layed out is totally wrong.
There needs to be a clearer indication that the compare is going to be done against SVN, and / or to the local.
Show changes to me means that I wish to work against the latest in the Head of the SVN, which you don’t do. If you take an Eclipse plugin like Subversive for instance. It has a team menu with sub menus that we know right away that it does all its work against the SVN, then there is a local menu or a compare to menu that then says I want to compare to local, SVN revision etc.
That way is so much easier to understand than the current system you have in place. Anyone like myself who has picked this up is just getting confused on what is for what.
Show Changes for an SVN utility should not default to local compare, and that is wrong when smartSVN does this. If I want and/or need to then there should be an option to compare to local. And or a particular revision.
I think you guys would benefit a great deal by checking these plugins out for Eclipse, because they are structured for productivity. smartSVN so far is not geared for productivity and a developer as to take to long to work out what menu is for local and remote. It might be second nature to a lot of seasoned users to smartSVN, but not when you pick it up for the first time. I spend far to long trying to work out what menu is for what, when a simple compare to->revision or compare to-> local would be easier and quicker to see what it does.
Also I touched on the fact that it would also be good if you had an Eclipse plugin, so that we did not have to leave Eclipse when that IDE is geared to team development.

Hello Andy,
> Send to where?
Thanks, image received. It looks like you have the focus in the directory tree
(it's the header gradient which denotes the currently active view). Hence
file-related actions are disabled. When putting the focus in the file table,
it will work.
> I would also like to add that the keyboard shortcut still works, and that
I couldn't reproduce this: The shortcut only works if the focus is in the file
table.

You can configure the context menu in the Preferences - User Interface -
Context Menus.
