RFC: Capitalization Standard VietnameseI'm looking to make my version of Capitalization Standard Vietnamese
into an official style guide. http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/User:Foolip/Capitalization_Standard_Vietnamese See the competing proposal http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/jesus2099/Capitalization_Standard_Vietnamese and http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Talk:Capitalization_Standard_Vietnamese for the full discussion. -- Philip Jägenstedt _______________________________________________ Musicbrainz-style mailing list Musicbrainz-style@... http://lists.musicbrainz.org/mailman/listinfo/musicbrainz-style |

I fear you and jesus2099 are the only people working on vietnamese :( If I understand correctly there is contention over including a (no break) space before the !, ?, etc.. at the end of the sentence, and you two agree on everything else, right? Can we allow both styles in the DB? As in, use whatever is used on the cover or in the booklet. Or is it usually hard to determine what is used on the cover? -- kuno / warp. _______________________________________________ Musicbrainz-style mailing list Musicbrainz-style@... http://lists.musicbrainz.org/mailman/listinfo/musicbrainz-style |

If I recall correctly, the debate is over not even a space, but a quarter-space... distinguishing that, on a given liner, on a case by case basis, would seem to be rather difficult. I would tend to agree, and it's likely the kind of thing to be inconsistent between releases and online information. -- Philip Jägenstedt _______________________________________________ Musicbrainz-style mailing list Musicbrainz-style@... http://lists.musicbrainz.org/mailman/listinfo/musicbrainz-style |
