Hi Marietta
Go and check out a local guide called Ansar Khan. He is top notch for NW India. If you do a google search for him with the word Bharatpur you should find him. Otherwise I can get his email in a day when I get back to a computer.
Cheers

Next week I expect to go to north India (Delhi, etc) for purposes other
than birding. I want to stay a bit longer and do some birding. Can anyone
recommend a guide that can get me some "great" birds? I have been studying
websites about good locations, but would appreciate more specific
information. Have also written to some "Birding Pals" but it is always
chancy if you get an answer.
I know that this is short notice, but I found out on Monday afternoon that
I was going.
