Hi there,

I have been using Debian for a couple of years now. I really
appreciate the great work you're doing and I would like to help. I
have read some docs and faqs on contributing to the project and
decided to start with this simple package that I am using every day on
my Debian machines. The 'debianization' boils down to just two lines
in the rules file, but it's probably still a good exercise to get
familiarized with the process. Could somebody please have a look?

* Package name    : kwin-style-aurorae
  Version         : 0.2.1-1
  Upstream Author : Martin Graesslin <kde@...>
* URL             :
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Aurorae+Theme+Engine?content=107158
* License         : GPL
  Section         : kde

It builds these binary packages:
kwin-style-aurorae - Windows decoration engine for KDE 4 using
user-supplied SVG files

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 553499

My motivation for maintaining this package is: I am using it on
several of my Debian testing (i386, amd64) machines. It provides many
great looking window decorations.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/kwin-style-aurorae
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/kwin-style-aurorae/kwin-style-aurorae_0.2.1-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards
 Lukasz Janyst

Hi

I haven't looked at the package itself, but just at aurorae. It looks
great, and it has been merged into kde trunk, so it will be part of kde
4.4 being uploaded in the beginning of february.

I'm not sure wether it is worth uploading aurorae separately at this
time, but if you are interested in kde related packaging, you are
welcome to join the KDE team and help with KDE and friends directly.

Feel free to drop by on #debian-qt-kde on irc.debian.org and say hi.

/Sune

   Yes, I know, I have been told by the author. There is still quite
some time till February though, and aurorae looks so great that I
couldn't wait to have it installed. :) I bet there are also other
people who would like to have it and, since I would have built the
package for my personal use anyways, I thought that it is a good idea
to share it.

    Well, I haven't done that before so I don't really know how much
effort it is. The decision is yours of course.

   I sure will :)
