It seems as though DJ Tron died today, I don't know the details but rumor is that it was on OD. Theres about 50 RIP Tron bulletins on my myspace friends list but no details. Anyway, i was a huge Tron fan in highschool (which is probably obvious) and its a real shame he's gone. R.I.P.

It's offical, he was supposed to play a party in LA tonight but he was found
dead either last night or this morning. A bunch of my friends are taking his
time slot tonight and doing a dedication to him.

ya its sad, I was supposed to pick jeff up lastnight from the airport.  Had
a hardcore memorial for him Lastnight for his set in LA.  Everyone there had
dj tron rest in peace shirts.  Details as to how are still unknown, but ya
from what the rumor it was on OD or mixture of substances.

Damn, that's like an end of an era. One of the first parties I went to
had Tron spinning and I immediately bought most of his mixtapes. The
Cannibal DJ/ Brutal Chud records are still dope. Sad.

it was very heart breaking being woken up to a phone call about the "rumor"
of dj tron's death and following this rumor to fruitation of being true.
Jeff was a very good friend of "The People Who Love You", we've booked him
countless times for our events over the past 15 years.  Shit we were the
first one's to brought him out to Los Angeles back in 94.

Jeff will truly be missed.

To clear things up for everyone, Jeff aka DJ Tron did NOT die from an overdose. It has been determined as an accidental death as of now... Read below.

DJ Tron was my best friend, mentor, brother and room mate. At 1:30 a.m. July 4th, 2008 Jeff was found in my studio completely unresponsive. At that time peramedics were called and I attempted to perform CPR but was unsuccessful. At 2:15 a.m. the hospital prenounced his death. I've been in close contatact several times a day with his mother "Momma Tron" and she stated that after the police performed a thorough investigation of the living premisis, and DuPage county coroners office performed a preliminary medical examination, his sudden death has been determined accidental. As with all accidential deaths the coroners final report will be avalible in 8 to 10 weeks. They do not anticipate any other findings. These rumors of overdose are hurtful to his family and friends closest to him and should be stopped immediately per Momma Tron.

Lets just knock off the shit and remember Jeff as our General in hardcore and the possitive influance and leadership he has had on all of us in the industry for over the past 15 years.
