If for some reason users need to manage their installations via RPM, they now cannot participate from all available fixes, patches and improvements but have to wait for months (next release in 2010?).
I plan to have a new 1.6.002 security and bugfix release within the next
1-2 weeks, which then will also include updated rpms on opensuse.org.
If you use our new EPL packages (www.stylite.de/EPL), you get
continuously updated rpm's (probably every 1-2 weeks), beside other
extras. Using them also helps to sustain the development of EGroupware.
I dont think I will undertake the effort to build weekly/montly rpm's of
the community packages, specially as it's a lot work AND will undermine
the success of our commercial packages. Without their success, you might
have nothing to build as community packages in future ;-)
