I don't know if that kind of evaluating would happen here, but all of us are
watchful for signs in case the Leninist KMT party is planning on enhancing
its authority by asserting more controls on the population. Already,
university professors have been required to sign a promise that they will
not discuss political issues at any time in the classroom, in public forums
or in print. What's next?
