Hi all,

After the hint from mkk i tried a few other commands. My results so far:

\class blah

will asociate the comment with the package declaration of package blah

(it works as mkk suggested, however only for the package declaration, not for the entity)

\interface blah

will associate the comment with the entity declaration of the entity blah

However, i could not find the command for documenting the architecture.

I guess internally doxygen is interpreting the packages as a classes, and the entities as interfaces. Probably somewhere in the source-code there is some kind of mapping, which defines which vhdl-elements are interpreted as what. Maybe someone who knows the code a bit could help here? i already checked, but it is not as abvious as i had hoped.

Also, i think information about this kind of mapping should definitely appear somewhere in the documentation of doxygen....
