Yes the default pulse setup requires kernel 2.6.30 and udev 143. This
has been mentioned earlier on the list.
As for the starting muted thing, I'm not too sure about this but I see
this too.
In a few weeks when the Desktop Summit is over and the PA maintainer
returns from holiday I'll try and suss out the muted thing. I think it
may stem from other audio setup stuff now done in Fedora at the alsa level.
