Not being so familiar with the XFCE project (my interest is mainly K*
related :) ) I don't know if XFCE uses as much of the common
infrastructure of freedesktop.org like GNOME does. If it does then the
topics for presentations are obvious and collaboration will be easy.
Regardless of that I guess XFCE would like to have at least one or two
slots for their own for project specific presentations.

Jannis, please let us know what presentations (if any) you are already
can be held at FOSDEM then we can plan the rest of the slots
accordingly. Share topic suggestions and speakers to invite about
shared infrastructure is also welcome.

Considering that we had a lot of great stuff in mind in case we would
get a devroom at FOSDEM ourselves, 1-2 slots would be awesome. We still
need to sort out what to talk about in those, but one thing of course
would be about the new version of Xfce (4.6) which is going to be
released shortly before FOSDEM. In the same talk we could give a
forecast of what is to come after 4.6.

Another talk could be about xfconf, our new settings daemon which is
similar to GConf in a way (except that xfconf uses D-Bus). We've
received positive feedback from some GNOME developers, so maybe that
could be interesting.

We're supporting a lot of the standards on fd.o, but we don't have the
man power to introduce, work on and maintain new standards. We do use a
lot of the infrastructure that were established on fd.o though, such as
D-Bus, HAL etc.

I guess the use of these libraries and standards is hardly worth a talk
on its own. Maybe a joint talk about which standards and fd.o
infrastructure parts are used by GNOME, by KDE and by Xfce might be
interesting for users?

I'll have to think about this a bit more and talk to the others.
