I have the same problem.  TM told me the same thing.
I use iMac with Parallels and AV Panda Global 2010.
I have turned off AV and still get the error.

I have to get other user to reset so our other dot.net users
can access data.

At least it's not just me.  I thought I was going crazy.  I wonder what's up with that.  It freaks me out b/c sometimes I wonder if the restore will not work one day as well --meaning, just when does the password get corrupted?  Did I backup a corrupted file?

This never happened in Windows.

I hope they try to figure it out.
