A great starting point if iPhone development are the resources at Pragmatic
Programmers.
A very excellent book:
http://www.pragprog.com/titles/amiphd/iphone-sdk-developmentScreencasts worth their weight:
http://www.pragprog.com/screencasts/v-bdiphone/writing-your-first-iphone-applicationAnd, if you are new to Obj-C, check these out too:
http://www.pragprog.com/screencasts/v-bdobjc/coding-in-objective-c-2-0http://www.pragprog.com/screencasts/v-mcxcode/becoming-productive-in-xcodeYou can buy all of it for less than $100.
Objective-C can be a little unwieldy the first few times around - Interface
Builder too. Even with a good background in C, C#, and Java it was odd.
However, after immersing myself in it for the better part of the last year
I can honestly say I prefer it to most other 'OO' languages.
If anyone is interested I'll gather up the other resources I have amassed
and post them as well.
