I don't think my code is actually broken, but the dialog on the other end of
the slot I restored is very trashed. I has proven more annoying to correct
than many other dialogs whose layouts I tweaked, and I've spent two days on
this little sub-project so far.
I don't know if I'll have anything done today or not at this rate, and I'm not
getting anything else done while I whittle away at this unexpectedly thorny
problem.
