Re: [mb-automods] Autoeditor Election: jesus2099Uh oh, I can't write into the mb-automud, uh oh. So let me reply here. So, here comes a French fellow who comes to bring the house down again! :D Mmh what can I say. You're digging out the so called DuetStyle case here. Yes I (still) want to have that duet credited on track artist (instead of single artist). http://musicbrainz.org/show/edit/?editid=9111154 Yes, I think having trackartist "A & B", when A sings first, more logical than "B & A", no I don't think there is a problem by duplicating artists this way. http://musicbrainz.org/show/edit/?editid=8507712 But I given up on this idea quite quickly seeing the reluctance of most. As I see most people either don't care or are against this, I stopped doing those edits, then decided that this information was so damn vital that I had to record it in annotations. Then I thought it was vain so I even stopped those annotations, or maybe I didn't, I don't remember. Oh no, I do tags now instead of annotations. tags now http://musicbrainz.org/show/tag/?tag=duet&show=track instead of annotations http://musicbrainz.org/edit/annotation/show.html?annotationid=136967 By the way, I didn't know annotations shouldn't contain such information. Well. I take MB like a wiki but even better because people vote. If I see some possible improvement to a release, I edit and see (when it is not in contradiction with guidelines). I even post in the forum and take the edits as illustration of what I say (and cancel everything/revert if disagreement). It is of course not the kind of things I would ever think of autoedit. I have stopped editing this kind of things (Duets' track artists) since one year ago as I stopped editing french releases (Elite Camel Capitalisation Problem) because I was facing too much disapprovement. I DREAM OF WORLD DOMINATIONS I WILL AT LAST BE ABLE TO HAVE BOTH "MICHAEL JACKSONS & SAUSAGEZ" AND "SAUSAGES & MICHAEL JACKSONS" IN MB!!! OH MEIN GOTT! (not) You can't find traces of what I did that was contrary to the majority's point of view because when people tell me NO, even if I think it is completely stopid (like having composers instead of singers in Bollywood film 100% songs -and duets- albums), I just revert and go away doing something else. In fact I end up only editing vietnamese and even more japanese stuff, quite a lot. Where I'm almost always conforming with the unanimity. This makes me loose less time. And have more fun here of course. So don't worries with your duets, they will remain uncredited. (Duets with just one singer is weirdo but) I've given up hope feeding MB with complete track artists. Don'T Worries With Your Elite French Caps (instead of sentence), I Am Not Touchings it Since A Very Long Times Agoes. I won't deny anything, just that when I was told not to do something I agreed not to do it. I could also dig out some very baddest edits by recently elected, rather inexperimented, automuds. (but the jesus2099 is not likes that) Again one very spontaneous e-mail with no review. Cheers! Happy votes! I just hope Nikki won't be sorry.
