it worked for me. I actually tend to not use buildit to generate the eclipse project (but I tried it this time to see if I could reproduce the problem). Although I use buildit for most of my development/testing, I use ant directly to build the eclipse project (eg, ant -Dconfig.name=prototype-opt; ant -Dconfig.name=prototype-opt eclipse-project) then follow the steps of importing the project. Maybe try that?
I do use eclipse for all of my Jikes RVM development, so it is possible....
