There is currently no way to deactivate CPD but could you try to highly increase the "CPD minimum token" parameter in the Configuration -> Settings page, let's say to 5000.
I'm not sure about that but I believe this parameter value has an impact on the memory usage.
By curiosity, what do you mean by HUGE ?
