I didn't see this with 11.0 but it was a blocker for me on beta5 and RC1
until I found this work-around. I couldn't get the installation going at
all prior to RC5 but I imagine it was there too :-(
I have some text on this on my personal site, if you want I can give you

Some progress on this bug with active input from Takashi Iwai at Novell
/ SuSE, I am optimistic of a fix. I'm sure he'll be interested to know
status on other PPC32 platforms?
