Yes, we're having the same problem. Saw the same thing with v11.4  
which was fixed in 11.4hf2 so I'm assuming it is a permissions bug.  
For as long as Network Accounts have been around, you would think  
these kinds of issues would have gone away by now.

The client app installs with read & write permissions set for the  
current user only. Anyone else has no access. I modified the  
permissions on the app and also the package contents to allow anyone  
read & write. No problems copying that file to other machines.  
However, we run with network home folders (ldap) and even though  
permissions are set for everyone, the app will not launch when the  
user is logged into the network account. The only way to fix this was  
to copy the Client app to the User's Home Applications folder.

Unfortunately, we also have a large number of clients that Netboot and  
obviously, this is a deal killer for them. When the client tries to  
launch on a Netboot machine, the machine asks for an administrator  
password and freezes. There's obviously some permissions problem that  
runs a little deeper. Will do more digging... or wait for 2004.8r2...  
if it comes.
