hi seth -- i'm not at all surprised a noob is confused.

firstly, the current roadmap source isn't in a downloadable
tarball, because we haven't done an "official" release in about a
year.  so the source is saved under CVS.  until we do a release
of some sort, you'll need a CVS client to get at it -- most linux
distributions make it easy to get ("apt-get install cvs" or "yum
install cvs") but on windows or a mac you'll have to get guidance
from someone other than me.  once you have the cvs program,
follow the "Newer" link from
    http://roadmap.sourceforge.net/download.html
and follow the instructions you find there.

second, once you have the source, you'll want to look in the
src/doc directory in the file called Platforms.  (someday when we
do a real release, this info will be on the web.) there's a
section in there on the iPhone.

lastly, iPhone support is pretty new.  i've never built it, or seen
it run.  morten bek has contributed the patches to roadmap to make
it work, so i hope he'll have more to say -- like where to get the
compiler, how to do the build, how to install the result on the iphone,
etc.  (morten -- maybe some more of this could go into the Platforms
file?)
