can you check with ludovic rousseau. if he lists it as working for his ccid
driver for pcsc-lite, then it should work fine. ccid is the most complete
package of drivers there is.

if not, but the vendor has a binary only driver: only buy
one and test it. myself I don't like binary only drivers and would avoid them
at all costs, but see for yourself.

all readers can do both as far as I know, so that shouldn't matter much.

if you are concerned about speed / user experience: collect some typical tasks
a user might do, setup a demo system and benchmark. different combinations
of card and reader can make a huge difference (e.g. wait 1 second vs. wait 20
seconds).
