Hi Guys,
Most of the Globalize devs are working now on getting i18n support
into the next version of Rails. The idea is to integrate basic i18n
support which would make it easier and safer to write i18n plugins off
of. We're almost finish with this work, and you're all invited to look
it over and give us your feedback. Check it out at:
http://groups.google.com/group/rails-i18nAfter we finish with that, we plan to start working on Globalize 2,
which will be based on this built-in Rails API. It will probably not
be compatible with the old Globalize though. The good news is, there
will be less problems of breakage with subsequent Rails versions.
Best Regards,
Josh Harvey
