For quick tinkering, the evaluation version is a full version that runs for 20 minutes & is certainly adequate for seeing if ArcPad will load and run on a unit. Once installed, you can make a project in ArcPad quickly OR use arcmap. To make it a full version requires only a registration #.

Alex, I will email you off-group with a project that includes part of downtown sac that I have been testing with.

Steve,
At the meeting this came up in the context of writing a custom application in .Net and including ArcObjects when relevant and necessary. We still need to assess if the general ArcPad interface can be customized without having to go the full coding method. Are there any ArcPad licenses for us to tinker with?
We would like to try loading it on the Cowon Q5W.
